02Complaints about a loan, its terms or its processing

The regulated lender remains responsible for grievance redressal under RBI requirements. If your complaint is about the loan itself - sanction, rejection, interest rate, charges, KFS, disbursal, repayment, recovery conduct or credit-bureau reporting - it must go to the bank or NBFC that is processing or holds your loan.

Where a regulated lender has engaged ForeignEduLoans as a Lending Service Provider (LSP) or identified this website as a Digital Lending App (DLA), that lender's grievance officer details and complaint route will be shown to you at the relevant point in the journey. We will also help you route the complaint if you ask.

03Escalation to RBI

If the lender does not resolve your complaint within the period allowed, or you are not satisfied with the response, you may escalate under the RBI Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, provided the conditions of that scheme are met.

  • Complain to the regulated lender first and keep the reference number.
  • Wait for the response period set out in the lender's grievance policy.
  • If unresolved, file through the RBI Complaint Management System at cms.rbi.org.in.

ForeignEduLoans is not a bank or NBFC and is not itself subject to the Ombudsman scheme as a regulated entity; the escalation route runs through the lender.

04Data protection and consent complaints

For complaints about how your personal information was collected, used, stored or shared - including withdrawal of consent, restricting lender disclosure, correction or deletion requests - contact us using the details above and state clearly that it is a data-protection request. Our full position is set out in the Privacy Policy.

05Unwanted calls, SMS or WhatsApp

If you receive commercial communication you did not consent to, or want to withdraw an optional communication permission, tell us using the contact details above and we will action it. Withdrawing study-abroad marketing will not cancel a loan application you have asked us to continue, and withdrawing general marketing will not stop essential status messages for an active loan process.

06What to include in your complaint
